The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) and the Office of Apprenticeship (OA) have issued a Request for Information (RFI) from industry intermediaries to support the expansion of apprenticeships in targeted industries.  ETA and OA seek to award multiple contracts to assist industries in launching multi-employer apprenticeship models that address the talent needs of those industries and increase the number of Apprenticeship opportunities available nationwide.  This effort will help establish approximately 8-10 sector-based intermediaries to serve in a leading role in the Sectors of Excellence in Apprenticeship (SEAs), a new industry-led apprenticeship initiative.  Intermediaries will partner with DOL to support employers, consortia of employers, industry associations, joint labor-management organizations, educational institutions, and others in developing and/or expanding Register Apprenticeship programs.  Responses to the RFI are due by March 11.  The RFI is available on FedBizOpps.
